Has Cricket become tougher for bowlers?

Irfan Pathan and Shoaib Akhtar
In the past, bowlers used to take wickets but now bowlers are becoming more useful as batsmen!!
Hello all!! This is Suven Jagtiani writing this blog and needs more of your support to write such more blogs. I am a big follower of cricket and I hope even you are. I have been watching cricket from a lot of years and I have even seen the average totals of teams getting higher year after year. Batsmen are hitting bowlers out of the park more easily. All this leads us to the question that is cricket getting more tough for the bowlers??

ANALYSIS ON THE QUESTION

Over the years, cricket boundaries have come more inwards or in other words the radius of cricket stadiums is reducing.[What is this leading to?] This is leading to batsman hitting more boundaries and scoring runs has become more easy. The force with which the bat hits the ball also depends upon the bat's thickness or depth. The thickness of bats used by batsman has also increased in this modern age.[ But you can even then tell that the more thickness of the bat also allows catches to be carried to fielders more easily] But for the batsman to give a catch, the batsmen also must be deceived. Now, for deceiving batsman you need pitches that even help the bowlers to some extent. But where are such pitches created now ?
Pitches are made dead flat which just help the batsmen. So now there are 3 aspects supporting the batsmen in modern cricket. What are the aspects supporting the bowler??[ This question would bring you to some thinking] So YES, now you know that there is some imbalance in cricket. This imbalance is clearly not helping the bowlers. So what is ICC and other cricketing organizations doing about this??

SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

So we know from the above discussion that there are 3 important things to be corrected[If you know any other problems other than the three then please mention in the comments]

THE BAT THICKNESS PROBLEM:

MCC or Marylebone cricket club has decided that from October 2017 the depths or thickness of the cricket bats have to be reduced to 67 mm. The highest depth of cricket bat now is 85 mm used by David Warner.

THE BOUNDARY SIZE PROBLEM:

ICC has made a rule that the minimum distance from the pitch to the boundary[square boundaries] must be 60 meters and the maximum distance has to be 82 meters[straight boundaries]. All stadiums have boundaries in these limits but the sizes they keep is closer to the lower limit which has eventually made the boundaries smaller making it easy for batsmen.[So ICC you have to make the rules even more stricter].

THE BATSMEN FRIENDLY PITCH PROBLEM:

Sorry cricket fans, ICC has not made any RULES regarding this problem.
The one problem I have here is that when Indians make spin friendly pitches then ICC has a lot of issues to raise. But when some other countries make absolutely flat, batting-friendly pitches then there is no issue  raised, Why so???

So cricket fans, cricket is not any more an unbiased game. You must rethink your love for cricket.

Is BYJU's worth it for school studies??

Hello all!! This is Suven Jagtiani writing this blog. I am a student studying in std. 9 .I have not joint any normal  coaching classes for maths and science ever in my life. But my first coaching class for maths and science was unique and very different. Yes, this coaching class was BYJU's- the learning app.... [The name itself is so cool, isn't it?] But let us see that whether the teaching of   Byju's   is also as attractive as it's name ?? My EXPERIENCE with BYJU's : I had bought a course of byju's back a couple of years ago. They gave me a SD card and I even bought a tablet from them in which I could put the SD card and watch their videos. The videos were nice and cool!! The teachers in the video also speak quite clearly which is required while watching an educational video. The teachers even have proper voice modulation.  But the thing which was different were the animations. Diagrams popping out, definitions coming, structures of plants an...

SSC vs CBSE vs ICSE : Which is the best?

Hi all !! this is suven jagtiani writing this blog.  I am a sincere student studying in 9th grade. I am in a school which follows the the SSC board. Sometimes My cousins and friends  pull my legs telling me that how can I learn from a board like SSC because they followed the syllabus of CBSE and ICSE[which they considered to be much better and difficult than SSC]. This made me feel that is the SSC board really so bad?   So after 9 years studying in SSC, I thought of writing this blog to explain you about the differences in the so called "INDIAN BOARDS". CBSE [Central board of secondary education] IS THIS BOARD PRESCRIBED BY OUR GOVERNMENT REALLY GOOD? CBSE board is very popular for it's NCERT books and every expert would tell you that all competitive entrance exams are based on CBSE, but let's see the real truth: PROS :  The syllabus and books of CBSE board is very well designed. Science and Maths are well explained in NCERT books. The ...

Why do Indian students study a lot?

Why do Indian students study a lot? Note: This is the point of view of a 9th grade Indian student. Talk about ironies and you would realize that India is a big land of ironies. I am actually writing this article to explain you one of the biggest ironies in India. I am sure that you would understand it as you read this article. Now, let's come on to our own Indian students. There is something very characteristic about us. We have the ability to keep our eyes open even when our brain is closed. Time table of an average Indian student: Get up in the morning, pack your bag and go to school. Waste 6 hours in the school.(For many of us)  Eat lunch and head towards tutions.  Listen to the teacher for 3 hours, complete assignments, learn answers and fun with friends. Come back, play, eat dinner and go to sleep. Looking at the time table logically, one would feel that an Indian  student studies for 6 + 3 (School + tutions) i.e 9 hrs. "AOOOHHH!! We study f...

Is the IGCSE board really worth it?

Hello all!! This is Suven Jagtiani writing this blog. I am a student studying in 9th grade. When I had taken my admission  in school, there was a trend that parents only used to admit their children in schools which were near their house. But now the trend has changed and parents are comparing schools with the board which the schools follow. Many boards have now come up in India and parents have now become spoil for choices. So I decided that is IGCSE , India's one of the most expensive boards really worth it ?? This blog will even tell you that whether it is right to know the quality of the board with the fees that it takes. So, for answering this question, I first took the interview of Ms. Kavita Sukhani ,(Presently head of NEXT School  , Mulund(West) , and has been IGCSE Coordinator at  ECOLE MONDIALE WORLD SCHOOL, Mumbai ), and got some wonderful inputs. Initially, those who are just un-aware of  the IGCSE board, make sure of visiting  the...

Digital India: Why won't it work in our country?

Hey!! I thought it was a joke..........but it made me realize that 'Yes'  , my India is changing or at least trying to change. Yes, I am talking about the Digital India movement. I couldn't believe that such a movement could even be introduced in India. The biggest reason for this change in our country according to me is our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our Government is trying to do hundreds of things for the betterment of our country but the most important point is that are these changes even made effective at the ground level or are such things gimmicks which will just add up to the speeches of our PM in the next elections ? In this article of mine, I'll talk about everything about the 'DIGITAL INDIA MOVEMENT' and why it's chances of being successful in our country is very low. What is the Digital India Movement? Digital India is a campaign launched by the Government of India to ensure that Government services are made available to citizens ele...

So, let's begin with the quest now and find how Google is helping India develop! Why is Google helping India develop? The simple answer is that Google is helping India because India is helping Google become better (What!!) Can Pro-Kabaddi pick up as IPL did? Hello all!! This is Suven Jagtiani writing this article. I am a big fan of cricket and as I live in India, it's obvious that I even love the IPL. Such has been the magic of IPL ,that for some it is just a cricket match, for some it's like this:   OR.. LIKE THIS: And for some, IPL is even their bread and butter: (match-fixing) But, as the IPL was getting older and older, getting some wrinkles on it's face(allegations of match-fixing), it's small brother named the Pro kabaddi league took birth in 2014.  AND BOOOM!!  1st season Pro kabaddi league: 552 million viewers (Not a joke!) 11 huge sponsors!! 70 crores ad revenue!! All these stats are not as huge as the stats of IPL but then too for a league to generate such great numbers for the 1st season and for a sport which is not too popular at the global level is a big thing. Why this popularity? I used to ask my grand mother about how kabaddi...
